Private barrel
selection

A private barrel pick is the purchase of one barrel: you taste, you choose, and the bottles from that barrel carry your label. It is not the same thing as booking the $150 Single Barrel Experience.

Published November 2, 202621+ only
The short version: groups, retailers, and individuals select one barrel at Nashville Barrel Company, on site at either location or from samples shipped to them. The page states a typical yield of 100–200 bottles at cask strength, and smaller minimums are available. There is no public price for the barrel. Start at the barrel pick form or call 615-669-0083.

What you are actually buying

You taste through barrels of straight bourbon, rye, or Tennessee whiskey, all at cask strength. You pick one. Bottles from that barrel get a custom label — logo, name, or occasion — and that label is part of the pick, not an add-on. The barrel-pick page says both 222 Fesslers Lane and 425 Church Street can host the session, and out-of-town buyers can receive samples if they cannot travel.

Yield depends on the barrel and the proof. The published range is typically 100–200 bottles, and the distillery says it works with smaller minimums for individuals, retailers, events, and companies. Because the barrel price is not listed on the site, the next step is a conversation: start a barrel pick, email support@nashvillebarrelco.com, or call 615-669-0083.

Do not confuse it with the $150 tasting

The Single Barrel Experience is a booked, guide-led tasting. It is $150, about 60 minutes, and includes a bottle. Book it like any other tour: HQ or downtown. You leave with a bottle. You do not leave owning the barrel.

A single custom-label bottle, if you want one bottle rather than a barrel, is $99.99 on the personalized bottle page. Personalized bottles filled from Nashville Barrel Company barrel stock are also sold by our sister site, 1 of 1 Bourbon.

Where the selection happens

HQ at 222 Fesslers Lane is the production building, about 2 miles from downtown, with free parking. Hours: Monday–Thursday 9am–6pm, Friday 9am–7pm, Saturday 10am–7pm, Sunday 10am–5pm. Directions.

The downtown room at 425 Church Street is the walkable one: Monday–Thursday 11am–7pm, Friday–Saturday 11am–8pm, Sunday 11am–5pm. Directions. If you are in Nashville first and only want to taste, book the $35 flight and decide afterward. If you are in Louisville instead, the sister tasting room is Louisville Rickhouse in NuLu.

What “single barrel” means on the label

A single barrel is whiskey from one barrel, not a batch blended from many. That is why two barrels of the same age can taste different, and why the bottle you pick cannot be reordered once the barrel is empty. NBC also bottles blends — The Compromise is a 50/50 blend — so “single barrel” and “blend” are both real products here. The pick program is the single-barrel path. Blend Your Own ($200, bottle included) is the other one.

In town today, or buying a barrel?

Walk-in flights are $35 at the bar. Guided tastings are booked in Xola so the time is held. A private barrel is an inquiry, not a ticket.
